It’s spring 2020 by now, and while sorting through my digital archives, I ran across these images, taken of the former Askren Manor housing in Schweinfurt, Germany in 2018.
Two years ago, the photographer Thomas Liepold shared these images with me, and finally today, I make use of his permission to share them here with you.

If you have more information concerning any of these photos, feel free to share this here in the comment section.
I appreciate your valuable memories.

I lived there in Askren Manor also on the same street as the commissary and 1 block down from the elementary school.. Was there from 93-96.. I also remember a day care center across from the commissary too.. Thatâs crazy that Askren is being tore down.. does anyone know what itâs become?
I lived here from 2006-2008…. I went to Schweinfurt elementary and I lived on Poplar Street in the building closest to the community center. It’s so hard to see it look like this. But I’ve been trying to find images of those buildings and maybe some of the playgrounds. Thanks for posting these.
