Winter Lights in Bergen, Norway

My Germany-based cousin Wolfgang occasionally travels to his second residence in Norway, and he has just sent me this photo of lighted homes along the waterfront in Bergen.

I’ve never been to Norway, and as my days of armchair-traveling become more and more attractive with each passing COVID year, I am content just looking at images.

And yes, I will have some Gløgg (or Glogg) with it.

Advent Choir Concert in Oberursel

ADVENT CHARITY CONCERT

The girls’ choir of Maria-Ward-Schule, under the direction of Wolfram Gaigl, will present many English Christmas songs at one of the local churches.

When: 15 December 2012 (Saturday)

Time:  19:15 – 20:00 followed, by an Advent Market

Where: At St. Hedwig Church

Address: Im Eisenhammerweg  in Oberursel

Organized by St. Hedwig’s fundraising group

The concert’s proceeds are going to St. Hedwig Church in Oberursel

Adventskonzert Bad Homburg

The entry is free, but the church appreciates donations.

Feldberg in Winter

These photos were taken at the Feldberg yesterday morning around 10:30. Mind you, if you do get as cold as these photos convey, bring suitable warm-ups with you (Glühwein in a thermos, heating pillows, etc.). The restaurants do not open before 11 a.m.
