One of my students returned from a trip to Mont St. Michel with this present – a perpetual desk calendar. Very practical indeed.
Nowadays, they are hard to find as I have not been able to locate another one in a gift shop around Europe. These calendars used to be quite popular after World War II.
On ebay-collectibles, a few are listed under Vintage Tin Flip Desk Calendars. What my student brought back was the only new one produced I have ever seen. The antique ones sit on felt-bottomed metal, whereas this new one just sits on a marble look-alike.
I was told it was € 6 in a gift shop around Mont St. Michel/France.
