We spent another Sunday afternoon in the garden. As always, there really isn’t that much to do except for raking leaves, barbecuing, and relaxing on the lounge chair. A hamlet in the wild, among trees, mountains, and ponds, does not require any real work.
I had a heavenly nap falling asleep to the sounds of birds singing and toads croaking in the pond just outside our garden.
A bit outside of Schloßborn, before turning on the dirt road leading to our garden, there is a new sign for drivers to watch for wandering toads.
Based on the decibel meter of the croaking toads coming from the pond, I would assume none of them had ventured out yet. They are safe as of now.
This primrose plant I had thrown into a pile of bio waste years ago. It is such a sturdy plant, it comes up every year without any care whatsoever.
Live as if you would die tomorrow, learn as if you would live forever.
– Ghandi –
What a nice time of the year in Germany! I especially liked the Ghandi aphorism at the end…
