Best Price Holiday Location in Germany
Based on the October issue of the German ADAC, the small town of Steinwiesen in the region of Franconia (Northern Bavaria) is the leader in the best price category for a holiday in Germany. The ADAC tested 36 regions throughout Germany.
Steinwiesen, located in Frankenwald, is surrounded by bigger towns such as Hof, Bayreuth, and Coburg. The former East-German border is also not far away. Anyway, this low-priced town still offers Wiener Schnitzel including side dishes for € 5,50!
The most expensive place to go on holiday in Germany is also in Bavaria, but in the southern part: the town of Bad Reichenhall, which is close to the Austrian border.
Steinwiesen is ideal for hiking and visits to nearby nature parks and forests.
Willkommen in Franken!
