Yesterday we dropped off a friend at the train station in Frankfurt and therefore had another chance to take a look at Palais Quartier’s construction site. (Since August I have written several posts about this.) The retail area has been named MyZeil, which has a nice ring to it, but it lacks some linguistic originality; therefore, it sounds a bit cheap for such grand splendor.

And Palais Quartier- or at least parts of it – is supposed to open its doors next month!

I am not in the construction business, so my judgment about its progress might not be accurate. To me it looks like it will not be ready by next month. But see for yourself!

I wonder how much work is left to be done and whether we’ll get to “enjoy shopping at MyZeil” any time soon.
